Some islands seem to have many beaches that have reached the top 25, such as Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, and other places are not so many. With so many to choose from, it’s all a matter of taste, so I’ve opted for the ones I like the most.

Mae Nam Beach, Koh Samui

Mae Nam Beach is a quiet beach and at present, it is still not as developed as many parts of Koh Samui. The beach is approximately seven kilometers long and has many palm trees at the top of the beach which signifies the end of the sand and the beginning of the earth.

Most popular with backpackers and budget travelers, the beach has an unspoiled feel and you won’t find as many vendors or restaurants as in more popular spots. However, there are some bars and restaurants in the vicinity that stay open until 11:00 pm.

Bottle Beach, Koh Phangan is One Of the Best Thailand Beaches

Sitting on the opposite end of the island where all the full moon parties take place is Bottle Beach. The beach is located in its own cove and there are only four sets of bungalows here, making it very secluded.

It’s more of a hippie beach of sorts with the few tourists who venture here laid back and relaxed, there are a couple of restaurants dotted around the area serving fresh-caught fish and southern Thai cuisine at affordable prices. The best way to get there is to take a long-tail boat from Chaloklum, alternatively, you can walk through the jungle following a path.

Cha-Am Beach, Petchburi

Lying along the coast of the Gulf of Thailand is Cha-Am Beach. Cha-Am Beach is a long stretch of clean sand that offers many different activities for those who like to get involved in something rather than just sunbathe.

There are many activities to participate in, such as pony riding, waterskiing, banana rides, parasailing, and windsurfing. Due to the length of the beach, there are also some quiet spots where you can sit with a good book or sit under an umbrella and enjoy a Thai massage while you relax. For those who like a bit of shade, there are several places where you can find a small group of trees to sit.

One of the Best Thailand Beaches is Haad Yao, Koh Phangan

There is a coral reef about 400 meters off the coast where you can snorkel and admire the marine life, there are several diving schools on the island that also take divers to this sport for diving.

One side of the beach has many palm trees that add to the picturesque look and give it the feeling of paradise.

Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui

Chaweng Beach is where Koh Samui comes to life, it is the largest and most popular city on the island and possibly has the most beautiful beach. This is also the place where the nightlife is the most hectic, with many bars and restaurants to entertain everyone.

If something less noisy and more relaxing is what you are looking for, the bars along the beach provide a calmer atmosphere, with a great view of the incoming tide and a nice sea breeze, perfect if you are looking to relax in your evening.
