Lido di Venezia Beach, Venice

Lido di Venezia Beach, Venice

After landing in Venice, we first decided to go to this clear blue water azure “Lido di Venezia.” So we took a ferry ride from Venice to Lido di Venezia, which is just 20 KM away. The ride was across the shimmering water waves of Venetian Lagoon. It was just a short word of spellbinding. I enjoyed this ride a lot with my crazy buddies. The beach has a 12-kilometre-long coastal line with the clearest blue waters. The beach is the perfect spot for picnicking and enjoying time with family members. We just enjoyed the scenes of children building sand castles, which made us remember our childhood memories, and the parents were safely teaching their children. The beach hosts the International Venice Film Festival, which takes place around August and September every year. It is a must-visit beach in Venice with your friends.

Alberoni beach

From Lido di Venezia Beach, we stepped into Alberoni Beach, which is just 6 km away. The beach was located at the southern tip of the Lido di Venezia Beach, so we took a stroll along the coastal line, which took one and a half hours of walking, but we enjoyed it more. On reaching Alberoni, we took a drink at a coastal bar while enjoying the scenic coastal beauty. Unlike other beaches in Venice, Alberoni Beach is the perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying peace. Near this beach, there are salt marshes and lagoons, so you can explore the rich coastal diversity of Venice.

Cavallino Beach

After completing our adventurous travel at Alberoni Beach, we stepped into Cavallino Beach. The Cavallino beach was situated on the Cavallino-Treporti peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. We took a ferry ride from Alberoni and reached Cavallino Beach. The ferry ride gave us a beautiful view of the Venice landscapes. As we passed through the Grand Canal, we witnessed the historical churches and monuments in a great view that represented the great history of Venice. We sunbathed on the beach, and it gave us a great feeling to enjoy all the elements of nature in one place, with the sea on one side and the pine forest on the other, and people relaxing in between. Surrounding the Cavallino beach, there are pine forests and dunes, which are home to a large fauna. If you are a nature lover, you will definitely enjoy the surroundings of this beach.

Punta Sabbioni

Further, we decided to go to Punta Sabbioni, which is just 12 kilometres from Cavallino Beach. Punta Sabbioni is a port and seaside resort that is situated at the west end of the Cavallino-Treporti peninsula. After reaching the beach, we took a walk along the coast and enjoyed the sea view. After that, we engaged in beachside activities like scuba diving, cycling, and some more. Punta Sabbioni is perfect for all age groups so that everyone can enjoy it in their own way.

Additionally, the region is well connected to surrounding places. So there are two small outside excursions from Punta Sabbioni: Burano and Murano, which can be reached through a small ferry ride which costs 10 to 15 euros. Don’t ever miss this ferry ride to Burano and Murano. We enjoyed it a lot here and liked the locals’ warm hospitality.

Lido di Jesolo

After exploring Cavallino Beach and Punta Sabbioni, we decided to go to Lido di Jesolo Beach, which is nearest to Venice. Lido di Jesolo, also known as the Venetian Riviera, is a small coastal village near Venice, which is just an hour’s drive. When we entered the beach, the blue waters captivated us enough to drive into the sea. Without any delay, we jumped into the sea to swim, and later, we took a paddle boat ride in the sea, which cost up to 10 to 20 euros per hour. This beach is perfect for families, and the mild waves are very safe for children. And as the day passed, the night added new colours to the beach. The nightlife is lively, with active discos and clubs. We enjoyed the night with vibrant music and drinks. And there are many hotels and villas in the Lido di Jesolo if you want to stay here for days.

Eraclea Mare

After completing a crazy night at Lido di Jesolo, we decided to travel to Eraclea Mare. It is a small village near Lido di Jesolo, around 20 to 25 km. We travelled by bus from Lido di Jesolo to Eraclea Mare. On the bus, we had much fun with the locals. At the Eraclea Mare beach, we played beach volleyball, and two of my friends tried windsurfing, which gave me an adventurous feeling. After enjoying the coastal beauty of Eraclea Mare, we enjoyed the delicious seafood at local restaurants. Unlike other beaches in Venice, we didn’t find it crowded.

Isola delle Rosa

After spending a wonderful time at Eraclea Mare, we planned our next destination to be Isola Delle Rosa, a small private island with an area of 40 acres. It took a one-hour journey from Ereaclea Mare to Isola del Rosa. Lush green gardens and olive trees surround the island. We enjoyed the stroll on the island with inner peace. The island has luxurious spas and resorts. We took a massage in one of the spas, and our bodies felt very relaxed after that massage. The island was a bit expensive, but the joy you get there is worth it.

Bibione

Next, we stepped onto Bibione, a small island that is a long journey from Venice. It would take around one and a half hours to reach here from Venice by car. As we entered the beach, we were amazed by the cleanliness of the beach. It is a blue-flag-certified beach. We enjoyed swimming on this clean beach with much joy. Surrounding the Bibione beach, there are some more attractions, such as Luna Park Adriatico, a perfect place for entertainment and adventures and the lagoon of Bibione, which hosts migratory birds every year; it’s an eye feast for bird watchers. Also, near the Bibione beach, there is a Bibione lighthouse, which has historical significance. Furthermore, there are many beach hotels for staying here, so you do not need to worry in terms of residency.

Sottomarina

After that, we reached Venice, and from there, we moved to Sottomarina, 55 kilometres away from Venice. Sottomarina is located in Chioggia, at the southern end of the Venetian lagoon. The beach is the perfect holiday spot for children and their family members. We took a long walk along the seashore, watching the people along the shore. And many small seaside shops sell the necessary items for the sea activities. Moreover, there are some fishermen selling the fish freshly caught from the sea. If you want to relax, there are some rental shops that provide you with sun loungers, so you can peacefully enjoy your beach holiday.

Albarella

Then we decided on our next destination, Albarella Island, which is 35 km from Sottomarina. It is a green island located at the heart of the Po Delta Lagoon. Albarella Island is a perfect destination for sports and relaxation. In many hotels in Albarella, there are golf courses. You can enjoy your time by playing golf in the lap of nature. The variety of nature on Albarella Island fascinated us, and we enjoyed our visit there. The island is home to many species, like pink flamingos, deer, hares, squirrels, and many more. The island is surrounded by some beautiful destinations, such as the historical Tow Adria, and Po Delta Lagoon is one of the main attractions of Albarella Island. The island has a perfect coastline to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Caorle

Corle is a small coastal town in Venice that is situated on the Adriatic Sea between two other tourist towns, Eraclea and Bibione. The main attractions of Caorle are the beaches and museums. It is just an hour’s journey from Venice to Caorle. Apart from historical monuments, Caorle has many pristine beaches. There are many beaches surrounding the Caorle, such as Levante Beach, Ponente Beach, and Bau Beach. Once you reach the Caorle, it is easy to reach the surrounding beaches. Towards the east of Caorle, there is Levante Beach, which is easily accessible. There, you can indulge in many beach activities, and from the Levante beach, if you walk eastwards, you will reach the Bau beach. There will be direction boards to get there. The Bau Beach is a dog-friendly beach where you can enjoy your beach time with your four-armed pets, and you can also rent umbrellas and chairs there. In the west of Caorle, there is Ponente Beach, which is a short drive from Caorle. You can reach here on a bicycle ride or a walk. These are the very shortest beaches surrounding the Caorle in Venice. After exploring all the beaches, we took a stroll on the historical streets of Caorle.

Conclusion:

Venice has a large coastline so all the beaches are a short distance away. So it is very convenient to travel to more beaches. So every beach gives a unique experience and joy so you should definitely try to visit all the beaches in Venice.
